چکیده

We introduce depth-first search with dynamic decomposition for counting the solutions of a binary CSP completely. In particular, we use the method for computing the number of minimal energy structures for model proteins.

Approximate Dynamic Analysis of Structures for Earthquake Loading Using FWT

Approximate dynamic analysis of structures is achieved by fast wavelet transform (FWT). The loads are considered as time history earthquake loads. To reduce the computational work, FWT is used by which the number of points in the earthquake record are reduced. For this purpose, the theory of wavelets together with filter banks are used. The low and high pass filters are used for the decompositi...

DFS-Tree Based Heuristic Search

In constraint satisfaction, local search is an incomplete method for finding a solution to a problem. Solving a general constraint satisfaction problem (CSP) is known to be NP-complete; so that heuristic techniques are usually used. The main contribution of this work is twofold: (i) a technique for de-composing a CSP into a DFS-tree CSP structure; (ii) an heuristic search technique for solving ...

Anytime Hybrid Best-First Search with Tree Decomposition for Weighted CSP

We propose Hybrid Best First Search (HBFS), a search strategy for optimization problems that combines Best First Search (BFS) and Depth First Search (DFS). Like BFS, HBFS provides an anytime global lower bound on the optimum, while also providing anytime upper bounds, like DFS. Hence, it provides feedback on the progress of search and solution quality in the form of an optimality gap. In additi...

A Benders Decomposition Approach for Dynamic Cellular Manufacturing System in the Presence of Unreliable Machines

In order to implement the cellular manufacturing system in practice, some essential factors should be taken into account. In this paper, a new mathematical model for cellular manufacturing system considering different production factors including alternative process routings and machine reliability with stochastic arrival and service times in a dynamic environment is proposed. Also because of t...

Classifying dynamic textures via spatiotemporal fractal analysis

The large-scale images and videos are one kind of the main source of big data. Dynamic texture (DT) is essential for understanding the video sequences with spatio-temporal similarities. This paper presents a powerful tool called dynamic fractal analysis to DT description and classification, which integrates rich description of DT with strong robustness to environmental changes. The proposed dyn...
